“The news of Botanical Wish ”

Hi! I am Nicole, the creator of Botanical Wish. Each week I will be updating my page and writing a blog to share with you all what is up in the world of up-cycling and shed some light into why i have started this and where it will be headed!

How did this all happen?

Back in 2015 i was introduced to a sewing machine because I wanted to make my family custom Christmas gifts. I picked it up naturally, and then i stopped till about 2020. In 2020 i was commissioned to do a custom crew neck for a local musician. It made me remember how much I love to work with this medium, though again I didn’t keep up with it. So fast forward to 2025, I started to thrift and re-sell high end pieces. Something felt weird about it and I kept coming across tapestry blanket jackets and I thought they were so amazing. I wanted one and felt like I could make one just for me. Days before my birthday I sat down and read the manual for my sewing machine. Within in four days I made Nonie’s Roses jacket. It felt really good making it so I started to dedicate my time making up-cycle pieces and focused my selling on them as well.

What is coming up next?

I have been testing and trying out new things, prioritizing on good quality fabrics. Its really hard to find a piece of clothing that is not made of a form of plastic (and i have gotten so good at being able to tell by just the touch ). So currently I am working with denim and sweaters to create items like Cozy Cabin.

Picnic Pants!

Recently though I made a pair of red gingham trousers inspired by Audrey Hepburn.
